Bridgeport ~ Billy Lee Shawn, 74, a retired dairy farmer, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in Decatur.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Balsora Baptist Church in Balsora with burial in Willow Point Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Glenn Connell will officiate. Pallbearers include Tommy Noble, Tre Noble, Loyd Jordan, Paul Wood, Wacey Beck, and Robert Grantham. Honorary pallbearer is Orvil Stone.

Billy was born on June 24, 1942 to James and Della (Gray) Shawn in Bridgeport. He was united in marriage to Freda Susan Smith on November 5, 1961 in Bridgeport. Billy worked as a dairy farmer for Oscar Womack Dairy until his retirement. He was a member of Balsora Baptist Church.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Freda Shawn; and his brothers, James Shawn Jr. and Bobby Shawn. 

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Tammy Renner and husband William of Chico, Terri Shawn of Boonsville, Karen Noble and husband Alfred of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Tommy and Tre Noble; his brothers, Gerald Shawn and wife Peggy of Bridgeport, Donnie Shawn and wife Helen of Abilene, and Marvin Gray of Alvord; his sisters, Linda Ferguson of Bridgeport, Gracie DeLay of Bridgeport, and Sarah Jackson of Bridgeport; other family members and a host of friends.
