Doyle Albert Jackson, ll, patriarch, hard-worker, and Tina Turner lover, died November 1, 2017. He was born September 12, 1936 in Emory, Texas to Doyle Albert, I and Francis Loraine (Turner) Jackson. He married Bobbie Jean Waldrop on December 26, 1957 in Marietta, Oklahoma, attended high school in Longview, Texas, and retired from Bell Helicopter after 35 years as a supervisor.

Doyle was a loving and generous man. Whether it was the church, a family in need of money to provide a proper burial service, or any number of charities that promised a trinket in return for a donation, he would give as much as his means allowed. He loved to read old westerns and spy novels. He loved blue grass festivals, southern gospel, politics, living in the country, and Chihuahuas.

All of his family describe him as their rock and guiding light. He would describe his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as being the same for him. His faith was manifested in his integrity and strong love for family. He had a gentle soul, but didn’t let that stop him from being firm when needed. He was a man of few words, unless you asked his opinion. He was wise and compassionate and would always guide you to love, forgiveness, family, and Jesus.  Doyle was an active member of Fullness In Christ Church for many years.

He was anxious to be reunited in heaven with those who preceded him in death: wife, Bobbie, his daughter, Linda Jackson, and his brother, Floyd Jackson. He is survived by his son, Homer Ray Jackson of Boyd ,TX;  daughter, Wanda Rogers, of Ft Worth; his son, Doyle (Skip) Albert Jackson lll and his wife Pamela of Newark, Texas; five grandchildren:  Breanna, Isaac, Sierra, Hannah, and Sarah; three great granddaughters:  Bryce, Lily, and Jody; two great-grandchildren on the way; and his beloved dog, Rocky.
