Eula Mae (Reeves) Cook

Bridgeport ~ Eula Mae Cook, 93, a retired surgical technician, went to be with our Lord Sunday November 5, 2017 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Dr. Craig Erb will officiate. Pallbearers include Deborah Anderson, David Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Bob Waters, Rick Corbin, Dustin Smalley, and Jim Bost.

Eula Mae was born on September 16, 1924 to Andrew and Gladys (Briscoe) Reeves in Jack County, Texas. She was united in marriage to Clarence Cook on May 29, 1943 in Jacksboro. Eula Mae worked as a surgical technician for Bridgeport Hospital for 30 years until her retirement. She was a past president of Certified Surgical Technologist of Greater Ft. Worth #32 in 1994 and 1985, past president of Senior Citizens Site Committee on Aging; past board member of Wise County Committee on Alcohol and Drug Abuse; and a past member of Happy Times Ukulele Band. Eula Mae was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Cook; her sisters, Lillie, Christell and Pauline; and her brother, Linford Reeves.  

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Danny Cook and wife Ada of Decatur; her daughter, Norma Jean Anderson of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, David, Daniel and Debra Anderson; her great grandchildren, Rachel, Gracie, Molly, and Christopher; other family members and a host of friends.
