F. A. Simpson

Bridgeport ~ Funeral for F.A. Simpson, 90, of Bridgeport is 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Cundiff Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Minister Kevin Casey will officiate. Pallbearers include Scott Allen, Bill Miles, Robert Miles, Lee Largent, Audie Largent, Leslie Hill and Fred Moore.

F.A. was born on August 5, 1926 to Fineas Archie and Connie Ellen (Long) Simpson in Chico, Texas. He was united in marriage to Barbara Darlene Pittman on October 16, 1948 in Decatur. F.A. proudly served his country in the United States Army.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara Darlene Simpson; and his brother, Billy Bob Simpson; and Vernon Joe Simpson; his sisters, Berniece Miles, and Anna Simpson.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Gary Simpson and wife Kye of Amarillo; his daughter, Diane Brady and husband Mike of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Lane Simpson and wife Chelsea, Shane Simpson, Roxanna Simpson, and David Brady; 7 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; his sisters, Patsy Harrison, Dorothy Largent, and Bernice Miles; other family members, and a host of friends.
