Krystal (Underhill) Wilkins

Krystal Underhill Wilkins - 31 years young and a loving mother, beloved sister and wonderful daughter fell asleep in the hands of our lord on Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Grapevine,TX. Krystal struggled through a two-year long, valiant conflict with cancer. In typical Krystal spirit, she fought hard and despite a very difficult battle she was able to maintain her sense of humor, never revealing the true level of pain that she was experiencing.

Krystal had such a generous, loving, and caring heart; often giving her last dollar to those in need, she was always willing to help those less fortunate. With a rebel spirit she could often be described as marching to the beat of her own drummer.

Memorial service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.  Family will receive friends between 1-2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Tommy Putz will officiate.

Krystal was born on February 28, 1985 to Don Underhill and Laurie Underhill in Decatur, Texas.

Krystal left behind her son: a bright, wonderful and handsome 7-yr old boy Tyler Wilkins - the apple of her eye - as well as a best friend in Tyler’s father John Nguyen.

Also those left behind that will cherish her memory are: her mother, Laurie Underhill of Grapevine; her father, Don Underhill and wife Treva of Boyd; her sister (sissy), Ashley Underhill of McKinney; her grandmothers, Helen Bane of Grapevine and Shirley Underhill of Etna, Maine; her nephews, Steven, Aaron, & Triston; as well as many treasured friends. Krystal was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wilkins, whom she married on  April 18, 2011 in McKinney, Texas.
