Mryle Virginia (Hinshaw) French

Decatur ~ Myrle Virginia Hinshaw French, 97, a retired teachers’ aide, went to be with our Lord Saturday, December 9, 2017 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Gerre Joiner will officiate. Pallbearers include Case French, Stephen French, Dereck Thetford, John Peterson, Gary Prescott and Clinton Null.

Myrle was born on December 1, 1920 to Joseph and Ella (McDaniel) Hinshaw in Sweetwater Texas. She was united in marriage to Leslie Ferris French on February 28, 1942 in Lebanon Missouri. Myrle retired from Decatur High School where she was a teachers’ aide. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Ruby Hunter and Fern Jeeter.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert Leslie French and wife Sandra of Keller, John Allen French and wife Sandra of Livingston; her grandchildren, Stephen W. French of Allen, Stefanie French Peterson of Ft. Worth, Kristi French Therford of Argyle and Case French of Colorado; her great grandchildren, Audrey French, Zoey French, Michael Peterson, Addison Thetford and Landon Thetford; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
