December 23, 1956 ~ March 13, 2017 (age 60) 60 Years Old

 

Steven Wayne McMillan departed from life through death to eternal life on Monday March 13.2017 after a lengthy illness. Steve was born 12/23/1956 in Dallas, Texas to E.B “Red” and Rosie Mae (Jackson) McMillan.

He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 32 years, Carolyn Jean (Corbitt) McMillan of Rhome, Texas, His loving daughter, Julie C, (McMillan) and husband David McDonald of Abilene, Texas. Grandson Aiden Connor McDonald  of Abilene , Texas, granddaughter Taylor Noelle McDonald of San Marcos, TX, Son Joseph C. and wife Melissa McMillan of Jacksonville, Florida and step grand son Michael  Welch and step granddaughter AndreaVelasco of Jacksonville, Florida, brother Joseph B. and Wife Debbie McMillan of Delaware Ohio , sister in law Bonnie and husband Paul Blair of Warsaw , Indiana,

Brothers in law Stephen and wife Judy Corbitt of Defiance , Ohio and Don Corbitt and wife Rebecca of Fort Wayne Indiana, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Rosemary Abbott and Peggy Mayo and a niece Jennifer Abbott

Steve served our nation proudly in the U.S. Army and was a true patriot throughout his life.

Steve was employed for the past 24 years at J.B Hunt Transport as a local driver.

He loved listening to music and watching vintage movies and spending time with his family.

Steve was saved by grace as a teenager and rededicated his life to Christ as a young adult.

He was a quiet man with a witty sense of humor which remained intact despite his lengthy illness.

Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a loyal friend to those he loved

He will be missed here on earth but, oh what a day of reunion is coming

 

Donations may be made to the Texas Wounded Warrior Project or the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers
