Alton T. Young

Boyd ~ Alton T. Young, 64, a truck driver, went to be with our Lord Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Boyd with burial in Aurora Cemetery.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd.

Pastor Jeanne Evans will officiate.  Pallbearers include Richard Young, Jimmy Young, Jeffery Frame, Derek Frame, Alton Frame, Robert Walker, and Theresa Young.  Honorary pallbearers are Bill Cockerell, Ronnie Young, Edward Milligan, Eddie Owens, Robert Valentine, Michael Garcia, Michael Milligan, and Billy Cockerell.

Alton was born September 22, 1953 to Alton and Vivian (Applewhite) Young Sr. in Decatur.  He was united in marriage to Gale Lynn Grimsley on June 16, 1970 in Conroe. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Young Sr., Vivian Milligan, and Richard Milligan; his sister, Janet Ruth Young; and his brothers, Tommy and Jimmy Arrington.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Gale Young of Boyd; his son, Richard Young and wife Sara of Azle; his daughter, Theresa Young and husband Larry Robinson of Azle; his son, Jimmy Young and wife Kim of Boyd; his son, Robert Walker and wife Tammy of Denton; his 14 grandchildren; his 12 great grandchildren; his brothers, Ronnie Young and wife Terri of Boyd, Edward Milligan and wife Jackie of Haltom City, and Michael Milligan and wife Jennifer of Watauga; his sisters, Gail Owens and husband Eddie of Boyd, Dianna Cockerell and husband Bill of Newark, Imogene Walker of Springtown, Cotton Wright and husband Larry of Springtown,  Bertie Sellers and husband Glenn of Boyd, and Billie Romine of Rhome; his brother-in-law, Gary Grimsley and wife Sue of Reno; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
