Chico ~ Betty Faye Johnson, 76, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer.
Graveside service is 3:00 p.m. Friday at Chico Cemetery, in Chico.
Betty was born August 12, 1943 to George Harvey and Bessie O. (Mayfield) Collins in Sudan, Texas. She was united marriage to Amiel M. Johnson, Jr., on May 30, 1958 in Sudan, they were married 48 wonderful years, having 4 children. She was a wonderful loving Mom, Grandma, and Grammy.
Betty was retired from the bakery at Walmart, where she enjoyed decorating cakes. She enjoyed crocheting, playing on her computer, Betty loved playing cards and always found a way to win. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her brothers, Floyd, Leo, Teddy, Fred and Louis Collins; her sisters, Jeri Tittle and Nadine Howard; her grandson, Hunter Belew.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bobby Johnson of Chico, Jerry Johnson and wife Jacque of Odessa; her daughters, Teresa Belew of Chico, and Missy Quiroga and husband Oney of Grandview; her 12 grandchildren, Cliff, Scott, Holly, Troy, Cierra, Cheyenne, Justin, Christina, Jessamy, Markus, Hunter and Candace; her 11 great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Chealee, Emily, Keirstyn, Ryder, Landyn, Drake, Kymberlyn, Journee, Quincey, and Avery; her sisters, Bessie Lamb of Colorado City, Rosalie Ziessel of Amarillo, and Pat Greene of Granite Shoals; her brother, Tommy Collins of Plainview, and George Collins of Lubbock; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
