May God be with Dorothy and the rest of the family as they morn the passing of Jesse but also celebrating his going home to his Father in Heaven.

Jesse was a very humble and gracious man. I have fond childhood memories of spending 2-weeks during the summer at our Grandparent's farm in Rhome (Elva and Claude Calvert Sr.). We spent much of that time at the Coker's farm home of which Ronnie, Nancy, Kenneth, Lyndal and I would play "cowboys and bad guys" and "shoot em ups" or play in the old barns all day. Dorothy would then have us take naps in the afternoon under the one window air conditioner when the sweltering Texas summer heat was unbearable. But during that time, Dorothy would take lunch and water to Jesse who would be plowing the fields all day long. Jesse was a "very" hard working man that took care of and cherished his family. Best to the Coker family from the Herrin family.
