Linda Ware Obituary
Kingwood ~ Linda Nell Ware, 72, formerly of Boyd and a retired Elementary School Principal for the Boyd Independent School District, passed away on October 28, 2019 in Porter, TX.
Graveside is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Boyd Cemetery. Family to receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. Bro. Mark Taylor will officiate.
Linda was born on February 17, 1947, to Tim and Tommie Jo (Early) Austin in Ft. Worth. She married Jimmy Brooks Ware August 24, 1968 in Boyd. She was the elementary school principal for Boyd ISD from 1971-2002. After her retirement, she served several terms on the Boyd ISD school board and was inducted into the Boyd ISD Wall of Honor in 2013. Linda was a member of the Boyd Church of Christ and the Wise County Retired Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 38 years, Jimmy Ware.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Austin Brooks Ware and wife Morlley of Kingwood; her grandchildren, Matthew and Madison Ware; her brother, Stephen Austin of Rhome; and her sister, Mary Jane Atkins of DeLeon.
