Mary Drake Obituary
Decatur ~ Mary Evelyn Drake, 79, a retired beautician, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in Decatur.
Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, at The Oasis Church in Rhome, formerly Rhome Assembly of God, with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Reverends’ Mike Stephenson and Misty Drake will officiate. Pallbearers include Joshua Drake, Scott Warner, Eric Warner, Kevin Drake, Eli Nobles, and Terry Eakman.
Mary was born on May 6, 1940 to Rosco and Mary Hazel (Stepp) Stevens in Commerce, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Ernest R. “Pops” Drake on October 1, 1966 in Hurst, Texas. Mary was a member of Rhome Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Drake; numerous brothers and sisters.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Richard Drake and wife Debra of Decatur, and Kevin Drake and wife Ann of Boyd; daughters, Mert Warner and husband Andy of Decatur, Pam McGauley and husband Shannon of Decatur, and Rev. Misty Drake of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Josh and Brittany Drake, Scott and Erica Warner, Robin and Eli Nobles, Samantha Nielsen, Ashley Drake, Alisha and Brian Armstrong, Eric and Morgan Warner, Kevin (Bubba) and Leah Drake, Torie and Terry Eakman; great-grandchildren, Jasper, Sawyer, Parker, Oakley, Brylon, Brady, Stetson, Peyton, Kaydence, Madison, Ryder, Hayden, Riley, Tyler, Kaylee, and Tanner; extended family and a host of friends
