Mildred Read

Ft. Worth ~ Mildred “Midge” Read, 90, a retired high school home economics teacher, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Bedford.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March18, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pastor Lee Trigg will officiate. Pallbearers include Tim Clement, Justin Clement, Ryan Abel, Jason Waldie, Taylor Dedeke and Simon Wolfe. Honorary pallbearer is Samuel Waldie.

Mildred was born on September 9, 1927 to Ernest Joshua and Susie (Roberson) Clement in Era, Texas. She was united in marriage to Woodard Tipton Read on July 15, 1950 in Denton.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her brothers, Guy Clement, John Dee Clement and Ernest Clement.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are her daughters, Joyce Waldie of Fort Worth and Jan Dedeke and husband Ron of Aledo; her grandchildren, Jason Waldie and wife Sasha of North Richland Hills, Tiffany Wolfe and husband Simon of Roanoke, Samuel Waldie and wife Katie of Miami, Florida, Candice Abel and husband Ryan of Weatherford and Taylor Dedeke of Dallas; great grandchildren, Isabel Waldie, Grace Waldie, Chase Wolfe and Hadley Wolfe; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
