Robert "Bob" D. Henderson

Bridgeport ~ Bob D. Henderson, 87, a retired rancher and land surveyor, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 24, 2017 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Joplin Baptist Church in Joplin with burial in Joplin Fairview Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Rev. Gary Singleton will officiate. Pallbearers include, Pete Henderson, Jim Henderson James Henderson, Lewis Henderson, Richard Singleton, and Clayton Henderson.

Bob was born on April 14, 1930 to Robert and Jimmie (Carson) Henderson in Joplin. He was united in marriage to Ann Swetnam on November 4th 1950 in Jacksboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Ruth Franks.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Ann Henderson of Bridgeport; his sons, Bob “Pete” Henderson Jr. and wife Linda of Burleson, Jim Henderson and wife Sherry of Decatur; his daughters, Pat Hatcher and husband Randy of Denton, Kathi Stephan and husband Don of Willow Park, Kay Benton and husband David of Benbrook; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Christy, Suzie, Michelle, Mike, Travis, James and Charo; 8 great grandchildren; his sister, Erna Willingham of Boyd; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
