Virginia Harmon Obituary

Bridgeport ~ Virginia “Ginny” Harmon, 90, went to be with our Lord Saturday, September 14, 2019 in Bridgeport.
 
In March of 2020 she will laid to rest with her husband and grandson in the Pacific Ocean off of Huntington Beach, California.
 
Ginny was born on March 14, 1929 to Eugene and Alma Marie (Yuenger) Williams in Glendale, California. She was united in marriage to Edgar Lynn Harmon on June 8, 1947 in Glendale, California. Ginny started singing with the Big Bands at a very young age and continued to sing at church until moving to Bridgeport. She was a member of Dorn Methodist Church in Colorado City, Texas for many years, she was also a member of First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport. Ginny wrote for the Colorado City Record for many years called “Walk Around the Lake”, it was enjoyed by many. She was the former owner of Good Ole Days Antiques.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edgar Harmon; 2 grandchildren, Chris Grissom, and James Michael Fish; her great grandchild, Wyatt Jace; her sister, Betty Larson; and her brother, Jack Kerrigan.
 
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Victoria Harmon of Colorado City, Diann Grissom and fiancée Ken Webster of Arlington, and Donna Bates and husband Greg of Bridgeport; her sons, Gary Harmon and wife Cindy of Odessa, and Bob Harmon and fiancée Cheryl of Arlington; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; other relatives and a host of friends.
The family wanted to give thanks to Aviator Home Health, nursing staff of Solaris Hospice, and a special thanks to Maria.
