Bill Foster Sparks

Paradise ~ Bill Foster Sparks, 84, a contract administrator, went to be with our Lord Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Paradise.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Garvin Cemetery. Family will receive friends 9-10 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Pastor Eddie Milligan  and Speaker Ray Cobb will officiate. Pallbearers include Josh Wheeler, Ricky Crippen, Jacob Kennedy, Brad Lemke, Ross Kennedy, Brayden Chatham, Matt Wheeler and Troy Chatham.

Bill was born on October 23, 1930 to Manley and Beulah (McDougal) Sparks in Krebbs, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Maxine Carroll on June 26, 1982 in Sherman, Texas. Bill was a contracts administrator with Menasco Aerosystems and retired after 35 years of dedicated service.  He was also a member of Grace Baptist Church, a volunteer firefighter with the River Oaks Fire Department and former mayor of Marshall Creek, Texas. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Scott Michael Sparks; his infant son, Ricky Lee Sparks; and 3 sisters.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years Maxine Sparks of Paradise; his daughters, Debbie Wheeler of St. Louis, Missouri, Karen Chatham of Paradise and Kristi Kennedy of Paradise; his son, Scot Kennedy of Plano; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his brothers, John Sparks of McAlester, Oklahoma and Verlon Sparks and wife Jo of San Antonio; other family members and a host of friends.
