Decatur ~ Gregory Neel Smith, 73, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

Greg was born May 25, 1949 to Clarence and Bernice Smith in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage March 12, 1988 to Eldora Marie Benefiel. Greg was in the oil & gas business for many years, owning and operating Great Plains Oil Corporation. He was a beloved husband and friend to many who will miss him dearly. Greg was a faithful man of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bernice Smith.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of over 34 years, Dodie Benefiel of Decatur; and a host of friends.

A Private burial at Bethel Cemetery will be at a future date.
