Guadalupe Sanders

Chico~ Guadalupe Sanders, 75, went to be with our Lord on Monday, April 18, 2022 in Decatur.

Visitation will be held on 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Guadalupe was born on September 6, 1946 to Atanacio Sígala and Maria de los Ángeles Galván in Colonia Álvaro Obregón Chihuahua, México.  She worked for many years at Bridgeport Care Center and Sunny Hills as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. Guadalupe was united in marriage to David W. Sanders on November 30, 1966 in Juarez, Mexico. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all that knew and loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jaime Sanders; her daughter, Patricia Brown; her two grandchildren, Amanda Maxson and Christopher Corniel; and her brother, Ramon Sigala.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, David Sanders of Sunset; her daughters, Alma Danks and husband William and Nancy Maxson and husband Michael; her step-daughter, Cynthia Kay Taylor; her brothers, Salvador Sigala and Angel Sigala; her sister, Maria Elena Hernandez; her 5 grandchildren, Kenneth Corneil and wife Amanda, Ryan Maxson and wife Taylor, Tyler Maxson, Mackenzie Maxson and Nicholas Brown; her 2 great-grandchildren, Erick and Seth Corniel; numerous extended family members, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
