Robert Dell "R.D" Morgan

Springtown ~ Robert Dell Morgan, 85, went to be with our Lord Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Decatur, Texas.

Celebration of Life is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur.

R.D. as everyone called him was born February 21, 1938 to Hall O. and Addie Kathern “Kay” (Arnett) Morgan in Evant, Texas. He graduated from Hamilton High School, becoming a Master Manufacturing Coordinator for Texas Instruments for 42 years. R.D. was united in marriage in Denison, to Tehresa Tilger in 1963. He was a long time member of the Texas Westerneer’s Riding Club and a member of the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Posse. He loved horses and his racing horses most, having won many times.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hall and Kay Morgan; his wife of 47 years, Tehresa Morgan.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved son, Monty Morgan and wife Theresa of Ponder; his grandsons, Tanner Morgan and Clay Morgan and wife Sarah, “lady friend” Dorothy Brazeau and extended family members and a host of friends.
