Ruth was born on July 8, 1923 to Hugh and Elizabeth (Wieble) Dye in Kansas City Missouri. Ruth retired from Zales as a sales associate.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Colbey Lewis “Jack” Groom; her grandson, Michael Williams; 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Werner of Decatur; her son, Colbey Groom and wife Norma of California; her sister, Mary Latteri of Las Vegas, Nevada; her granddaughters, Lisa Richard and husband Doug of Decatur, Tammy Caputo and husband David of Fort Worth, and Jamie Leon and husband Art of California, Paola Gutierrez and husband Abram of California, Sabri Garcia of Fort Worth; her grandsons, Colbey Danial Groom and wife Julie of California, Fausto Guiterrez and wife Claudia of California, Christopher Garcia and wife Amelda of Decatur, Austin Garcia of Fort Worth; numerous great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
