Sadie D'Alva Garrett

Paradise~ Sadie D’Alva Garrett, 92, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Paradise.

Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 at Western Star Cowboy Church 790 County Road 3696 Springtown, Texas, with burial to follow at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Rev. Bobby Bowden and Rev. Don Patton will officiate. Pallbearers will include, Darrell Brown, Jackie Long, Tommy Mc Ewen, David Schuette, Bruce Taylor, and Danny Trammell.

Sadie was born on May 7, 1930 to Jim and Alma (Cannon) Warren in Bosque County, Texas. She was a retired teacher and a homemaker. Sadie was united in marriage to Paul O. Garrett on October 12, 1963 in North Richland Hills and together until his passing in November 1990. She loved caring for and riding her horses, which was a huge part of her life and her favorite thing to do. She was in many play days and parades with her friends in the Bridgeport Riding Club. Sadie was a member of National Association of Riding Clubs, Wise County Sheriff’s Posse and the Bridgeport Riding Club. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul O. Garrett; her daughter, Cindy Garrett; her sisters, Jimmie Kitchens and Monna Taylor; her brother, and Don H. Warren.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Kevin Garrett; her daughter, Sara Luann McCoy; and her sister, Sara Dorsey; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
