He was a faithful servant of God and prior to his illness he attended several churches: Victory Family Church in Decatur, Father’s House Church in Decatur and Voice of Triumph Assembly of God in Sunset.  Vernon loved the Lord and he never met a stranger that he didn’t tell of God’s goodness.  He was not only our earthly father but a spiritual father and brother, to us and so many more.  He is known by his Faith in God, his hugs, his shenanigans and he would want you to know these 3 words “I AM BLESSED”.
