William DeRosia Obituary

William (Bill) Lloyd DeRosia was born on July 23, 1938 to William and Myrtle (Sharp) DeRosia in Blueberry, Wisconsin. He took his final breaths on Friday, December 2, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.

Bill married Saundra Louise Holter in 1959. He helped raise their four children, Steven, Daren, William (Billy), and Linai, instilling in them a strong work ethic while he was employed with several major manufactures, including Chrysler Corporations located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, from which he retired in 1991. He was also a long-time member of the United Auto Workers Union.

Bill, a long time resident of Racine, Wisconsin, was well known for his sense of humor and his friendship. Bill loved making friends, even during the last year of his life. His favorite pastime was going for daily scenic drives and often , on a whim, popping in on friends or family, just to say “Hello”. Bill never met a stranger; if he met you once, he would consider you a friend and you would most likely end up on his list of people to visit. Bill is survived by his past spouse, Saundra (Sandy) DeRosia; although divorced, Bill and Sandy never remarried, but continued to be lifelong friends with a special bond, and were able to live out his last years together, in their daughters home.

Bill is also survived by his children, Steven DeRosia of Racine, WI, Daren DeRosia of Houston, Texas, William (Billy) DeRosia of Fort Worth, Texas, and Linai Garcia of Newark, Texas; his grandchildren, Steven DeRosia, Sabrina Ramos, Darjae Perez, Danise Celichowski, William DeRosia, Elicia Wilson as well as Dallas, Frankie, and Skyla Garcia; his great grandchildren, Emma, Amy, Kaien, Astra, Naomi; his remaining siblings, Dorothy Scott, Helen Wolfe, Rosie Ranthum, and Jimmy DeRosia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and eleven of his siblings.
