Cory Lee Scott
Cory, I remember the day, in 2015, when it was you, me, and Cayli, at Wise Regional, and together, the three of us, we somehow managed to have that baby! You love him so much, I know you do.

I remember how you would on occasion stop me, to ask me questions or seek insight into this or that. We had several in depth conversations at the Trinity house.

I remember the past two Christmases, when you were in our big, crazy family and on both Christmas days, you came over and spent the day with us. You’ve been at our table for Thanksgiving meals, and you were a part of our family, too.

I remember just last Saturday night, when all of us, you, Cayli, Cam, Layci, Andrew, Chris and I were at Pronto’s, here in Bridgeport, at dinner. We had such a nice time, and later Chris commented on how nice it was, and how we had all enjoyed each other so much.

Cory, I am so very, very sorry that in that one moment on Tuesday, the pain you were feeling at that moment was just too much for you to bear. I wish things were different. I wish we could have helped. Know that I would have done anything I could have.

And so for now….

Know that I will spend my life making sure that Cameron is doing well, for you. Know that I will dedicate myself to insuring that both Layci and Cameron are fully taken care of. I will step in, for you. I will take up this mantle, I will finish what needs doing. They are going to be well, if it takes everything I have, they will be taken care of.

Godspeed, young man. Until we see you again one day.
