Brant Hawkins

Brant Hawkins

Funeral Director / Preneed & Monument Specialist

Brant Hawkins was born in Bridgeport, Texas in 1967 to Bobby and Wanda Hawkins.

He graduated Bridgeport High School in 1985 and attended Texas Tech university 1985 to 1988 and graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Services in 1989.

He married Stacey Breeze Hawkins in 1990 and has 2 children, Tiffany Hawkins and Raby Hawkins. He also has 2 brothers Rob Hawkins and the late Bert Hawkins.

His funeral service career started at the age of 4 when his father and grandfather ran the ambulance service, they removed the rear view mirror so he could stand in the seat while making calls.

Trey Hawkins

Trey Hawkins

Funeral Director / Preneed & Monument Specialist

Trey was born in Decatur, Texas. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2002, attended Texas A&M University and graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service is 2005. Trey started helping his father, Rob Hawkins, work funerals when he was 13 years old, making him the 5th generation in his family to help care for Wise County in the funeral business.

Trey is a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and preneed agent. He lives in Decatur and cares for families out of our Hawkins Funeral Home Decatur location.

Trey's father, Rob Hawkins, lives in Decatur where he works alongside his father. He also has 3 children, Hollyn, Carter, and Camryn, who all attend school in Decatur. And he has a brother, Chase Hawkins who in 2017 decided to help with the family business as well.

Trey is also a long time director on the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, an avid hunter, and enjoys  coaching and playing softball.

Rob Hawkins

Rob Hawkins

Funeral Director / Aftercare, Preplanning & Insurance

Rob was born and raised in Bridgeport, Texas. He attended and graduated Bridgeport High School, attended Texas Tech University and graduated Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1981. In 1980, he became the fourth generation of his family to serve Wise County in the funeral business.  

Rob is a licensed mortician and General Lines Insurance agent (Life, Accident, Health and HMO). He currently offices at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur and lives next door to the funeral home.

Rob's two sons both work in the family firm. Trey Hawkins is a funeral director at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur and Chase Hawkins is business administrator and offices at the Bridgeport location.  Rob also enjoys his four grandchildren, Camryn, Hollyn, Carter and Hazel Jane.

Rob is a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, the Decatur Lions Club, an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and cook, as well as a do-it-yourselfer.  He enjoys scuba diving, deep sea fishing and is an instrument rated private pilot.

Chase Hawkins

Chase Hawkins

Administrator / Business Operations & H.R.

Chase was born and raised in Bridgeport, Texas. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2006 and Baylor University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. In 2017, he joined his brother Trey as a fifth-generation member of his family to serve Wise County in the funeral business.  


Chase currently offices at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport and lives in Runaway Bay. Having grown up surrounded by talented funeral directors, he now looks to become one himself and hopes to continue the Hawkins' legacy.  


He is happily married to Randee Landers Hawkins and has a daughter, Hazel Jane Hawkins, who was born in 2016. Chase is an avid cyclist, CrossFitter and all-around health guru.

Chester D. “Chet” Niblett

Chester D. “Chet” Niblett

Funeral Director / Pre-need and Monument Specialist

Chet was born and raised in Decatur, TX.  He began his career in the funeral business in 1979 while attending Decatur High School where he graduated in 1983. Upon graduation he served an apprenticeship at Shannon’s Funeral Home, Northside Chapel, in Ft. Worth. After attending and graduating from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1985, he continued with the Coker Funeral Home until it was purchased by the Hawkins family in 2007, where he has been serving the families of Wise and surrounding counties for more than 37 years.

Chet is a licensed funeral director, embalmer and pre-need agent in the state of Texas.

Chet married Elaina M. Oates in 1984, after getting settled in on their small farm outside of Decatur, two sons were born, Colton and Cruz Niblett.  

Chet is a member of the Decatur Church of Christ, is a leader in the American Cancer Society- Relay for Life and active in the Decatur Youth Fair Buyers Association.  Chet is a Past President of the Decatur Rotary Club and a Charter Member of the Decatur FFA Alumni.  He has served on the Decatur Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  

When Chet is not working he enjoys hunting, fishing, working around the farm and raising registered Longhorn cattle.

Charles Davidson

Charles Davidson

Funeral Director / Preneed & Monument Specialist

Charles (Charlie) W. Davidson II, son of Cyndie and Pete Davidson of Amarillo, graduated in May of 2011 from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.  Charlie was born in Decatur. When Charlie was only 2 years old, his father was transferred to Lombard, Illinois with Natural Gas Pipeline from Bridgeport.  Charlie graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois. His many trips back to Texas to visit his grandparents: Margie & Jim Bradshaw of Decatur, the late Sherri Bradshaw of Decatur, & the late Nelda & Bud Davidson of Bridgeport, kept his interest in hunting, fishing & southern family traditions. Charlie was married to Valerie J. Reasoner, the granddaughter of late Thomas Hays, on June 6th, 2017. Charlie has been a part of Valerie and her daughter Alexis’ life since 2012. This has become a blessing in his life and given him a chance to be a great part of their life. They currently live in Bridgeport and Alexis goes to Bridgeport Intermediate which keeps them active in the community with sports, school activities and events in Wise County.

Charlie has three siblings that he is very close to: Sarah and her husband, Brandon and their kids Tristan and Adeline, live in Austin, Dustin his wife Aimee and kids Austin and Avery whom reside in Kentucky, along with Christopher and his wife Madison whom also reside in Kentucky.

Charlie’s exposure to the Funeral industry began with growing up hearing his dad, Pete, talk about his experiences working for the Hawkins family. Pete not only worked for the Hawkins in High School, but also developed a very close relationship with the late Floyce & Bert Hawkins.

Amelia Slimp

Amelia Slimp

Apprentice / Assistant Funeral Director

Amelia was born and raised in Decatur to Randy and Georgetta Slimp. She is a 2009 graduate of Decatur High School and is currently a student at The Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.

She has a daughter, Emma, who was born in 2012. She also has a brother, Timothy Slimp whom resides in Denton.

Amelia took an interest in the world of funeral service at a young age after attending the funeral of her great-great grandmother, and in 2016 she decided to take the next step and enroll in mortuary school as well as beginning work at the funeral home.

Amelia serves as an Assistant Director out of our Decatur facility and is serving her time as an apprentice at the Hawkins Funeral Homes. She hopes to be able to serve her community with the Hawkins family and continue their legacy for years to come.

Fred Raney

Fred Raney

Director's Assistant

Fred graduated from Liberty High School, Liberty, Texas, in 1964.  He completed his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, Waco, Texas in 1973 and his master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, in 1976.

He married Linda Tyler in 1966.  They have 2 children.  Donna lives in Ponder, Texas and Mike lives in Palm Springs, California.

Fred and Linda are members of First Baptist Church, Alvord, Texas.

He served for 50 years as a pastor in Southeast Texas and a missionary to the Dutch Caribbean. 

Since retiring in 2012, Fred has served as interim pastor for 6 churches in the southeast Texas area and worked for 5 years at Farmer Funeral Home, Silsbee, Texas, as assistant director.

He enjoys volunteering in the community and is currently a member of the Alvord Fire Department.

He has received specialized training in the areas of transitional and interim pastor; emergency medical service; fire service, critical incident stress management; and disaster relief work.

Fred holds the Master Level Certification Fire Chaplaincy with the Federation of Fire Chaplains and is a member of the Texas Corps of Fire Chaplains.

He was recently recognized as the 2017 VFW National Firefighter of the Year.  He mentions this only because of the high honor of being recognized by a group he considers his heroes, those veterans who gave all to enable him to do what he loves to do.

Fred and Linda are also happy to be only 35 minutes away from their 2 grandchildren as opposed to the 6 hours three months ago.


Don Niblett

Don Niblett

Director's Assistant

Don graduated from Paradise High School in 1960, shortly thereafter he joined the Texas National Guard and served in the US Army during the Cuban Crisis.  He is proud to have served his country and be called a Veteran. 

He married the former Earlene Hancock in 1963.

They are both members of The Decatur Church of Christ and have two sons, Chet and Jerrod Niblett and adopted son Mark Pingel. After working for Wise Electric Coop for almost 39 years he retired in 2002.

In 2004, his son, Chet asked him to help out at the funeral home, and he is still here doing what he does best (working).  In his spare time he spends as much time as possible with his family and enjoys working in his yard & just relaxing.

Kristi Danglemyer

Kristi Danglemyer

Office Manager & Visitation Attendant

Kristi joined Hawkins family in 2012 and currently works full time as executive assistant, visitation coordinator, and hair stylist as well as monument sales.  She has a passion for helping others and strives for excellence in everything she does.

Kristi was raised in Nocona, Texas and attended North Central Texas College in Gainesville. She lived in Muenster, Texas for 25 years before moving to Wise County. Kristi now lives in Fort Worth and commutes daily to Bridgeport. She has 2 sons, a daughter-in-law, and in June of 2017 Kristi became a grandmother. Kristi’s hobbies include scuba diving, traveling and spending time on the lake with her family and friends. She recently traveled to Africa and spent two weeks on safari. Her scuba diving passion has allowed her to explore islands all over the Caribbean such as Bonaire, St Thomas, Cancun and Cozumel. 


Pam Cayce

Office Manager

Pam graduated from Chico High School in 1983. After graduating she focused on raising a family. She had 2 children which was full time job. Later in years she went to work in the Oilfield where she managed an Oilfield office for 14 years. Upon the drop in the Oilfield and a layoff, God answered her prayers with a job at Hawkins Funeral Home where she could be a blessing and do God’s work He had in store for her. She loves being here and helping the family’s even if it is just a prayer for each family.

When not at work, she enjoys and spends her time with her husband of 34 years and her children and her 7 grandbabies that she loves, they are her life.


Margaret Anderson

Receptionist & Visitation Attendant

Margaret graduated from Alvord High School in 1966 and received her cosmetology license in 1967.  She married Curtis Anderson in 1968.  They have two daughters Jennifer and Jacquelyn. 

She worked as a hair stylist and teacher's aide and retired from Decatur Independent School District in 2004. She began working for Coker Funeral Home in 2003 and when Hawkins took over in 2007 she continued to work as a visitation and weekend worker. 

She loves spending time with her family and 3 grandsons.


Rhonda Bodenbach

Office Manager

Rhonda was raised in Rogers, Texas and graduated from Rogers High School in 1990.  She lived in Central Texas for 45 years until moving to Midlothian.  Rhonda lost her beloved husband, Mitch, in 2008 and her father and softball legend, Jim Von Gonten, in 2007.  Rhonda has three beautiful sisters, Cindy Von Gonten –Villarreal (husband Rudy), Mellissa Von Gonten, and Jennifer Von Gonten; two nieces, Skylar and Riley Jo; and one nephew, Jackson; and her beautiful mother and friend Shirley. 

Rhonda is dedicated to helping families in their time of grief with compassion and understanding.  She is planning to enroll in the Funeral Director’s program next year.  Rhonda is a member of Crossroads Church in Grand Prairie.  In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and friends, reading, movies, and enjoying the outdoors.


Earlene Niblett

Earlene Niblett

Receptionist & Visitation Attendant

After graduating from Alvord High School in 1962, she married Don Niblett in 1963. 

She was a stay at home mom with their two sons, Chet & Jerrod for ten years before going to work for the Wise County Messenger. She retired in 2006 after working for almost 34 years.

She also retired recently from instructing “Silver Sneakers” Classes at Fit-N-Wise for the past 10 years. 

The same year in 2007, she joined the Hawkins Family as a visitation/weekend worker.

Earlene enjoys volunteering at the clothing room, “Helping Hands” at Decatur Church of Christ.

She loves to spend time with her family, friends, and church family.
