Welcome to the memorial page for

Linda Frances (Jackson) Prince

July 29, 1959 ~ October 11, 2017 (age 58) 58 Years Old

Boyd ~ Linda Frances Jackson Prince stepped into eternity with Jesus on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Decatur at the age of 58.

Linda was born July 29, 1959 to Doyle and Bobbie (Waldrop) Jackson in San Diego, California.  She was united in marriage to Donald Earl Prince on September 29, 2016 in Tarrant County.  Linda graduated from North Side High School in 1977.  She spent her life as a dedicated and compassionate caregiver of the elderly and recently worked at the VFW #10374.  Linda was the nicest person you could ever meet and could never say "no" to anyone in need.  Her only child would tell you that her mom was her best friend and that she is proudly her mother’s daughter. Her granddaughters would tell you that no one could spoil a girl like their Grammy could. Her husband would say he adored her and that she was the most beautiful woman in the world. No one that saw how he looked at her would argue. Her loves included the ocean, doing the happy dance, camping, and fishing and she had a passion for music that was second to none. But to Linda, her greatest joy in life was her family.  She was the best mother, daughter, Grammy, wife, sister, and aunt. To know her was to love her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Waldrop Jackson.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Don Prince of Boyd; her daughter, Breanna Trimble and her husband, Jim, of Keller; her grandchildren, Bryce, Lily, and a grandson on the way; her great-grandchild, Jaylynn; her father, Doyle Jackson of Boyd; her brothers, Ray Jackson of Boyd and Skip Jackson and his wife Pam of Newark; her sister, Wanda Rogers of Fort Worth; 4 nieces; a nephew; and a host of friends.

Rev. Jonas Bohlin will officiate a funeral service to be held at 3:00 Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. Immediately thereafter, her earthly body will be taken to its final resting place at Aurora Cemetery.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and all are welcome at the graveside service. Please join the family to continue the celebration of her life afterwards at the VFW where food and refreshments will be served.
